Reminders — overview

Personal todos + client-initiated requests with two-way date negotiation, SLA badges, and nothing-missed notifications.

RemindersUpdated Try it now

Reminders is your accountability list — every commitment you owe a person, in one place, sorted by urgency. It lives at the account level (not inside a single project) so the back-of- envelope todo, the follow-up you promised on Slack, and the formal client request all live side by side.

Open it from the Bell icon in the sidebar. The page has five tabs (Today, Upcoming, Overdue, Snoozed, Done) plus a small colored badge on the sidebar entry counting items that need attention right now.

What you can do

  • Create a reminder for yourself — title, optional description, due date + time, priority (Low / Medium / High / Urgent), optional recurrence (daily, weekly on specific days, monthly on a specific date).
  • Snooze any reminder for 4 hours, until tomorrow, until next week, or to a custom time. Snoozed items re-surface at the snooze-until time.
  • Mark done — you have a 30-second undo window if you click it by accident. After that, change the status manually from the detail page.

Let your client request work

Turn on the Client request form toggle in a project's settings (Project Settings → Client request form). When ON, the project's client-portal members see a Request work form where they can submit a new request with a title, details, a needed-by date, and an urgency level. The request lands in your Reminders with a “From client” badge, and you get an immediate email.

You can accept the date the client suggested, counter-propose a different one with a short note, or just reply. The client gets emailed at each step and sees the full conversation in their portal. Status flows OPEN → SCHEDULED → IN_PROGRESS → DONE with AWAITING_CLIENT for the waiting-on-them moments.

Nothing-missed notifications

You get three reminder emails by default (toggle any off in Settings → Email preferences):

  • Morning digest at 8 AM — one email with today's reminders plus anything overdue. Skipped on days when you have nothing on your plate.
  • Day-of nudge at 9 AM — per-reminder ping if it's still open on its due day.
  • Overdue alert at 5 PM — fires once on day-1 overdue (ongoing overdue items are covered by the morning digest after).

If you don't want email during certain hours, Settings → Email preferences → Reminder quiet hours lets you define a window in your timezone (e.g. 22:00 → 07:00 to silence overnight). The window can wrap midnight.

SLA badges

Each reminder shows one of three urgency pills: green On track when the due date is more than 48 hours out, amber Due soon when it's inside the 48-hour window (or always for Urgent priority), and red Overdue once the due date has passed. The Overdue tab on the page lists exactly the red rows.
