Notification preferences
Email digests, renewal alerts, and the two-channel standup routing.
Settings → Email preferences controls which ItzSEO events trigger an email to you. Every row is a single toggle that saves the moment you flip it. Everything still appears in your in-app inbox regardless of these toggles — turning a toggle off only stops the email, not the notification.
Daily standup digests — two channels
Standup digests have two independent toggles so that managers can pick the channel that matches their job. You can turn either, both, or neither on.
- Daily standup digests for my department. When a teammate in your department files an end-of-day standup — regardless of which project they were on. Best for department managers who want to keep an eye on their own team without inbox noise from other departments. Non-managers don’t end up in the department-channel recipient set anyway, so leaving this on is harmless if you’re not a manager.
- Daily standup digests for projects I manage. When anyone files a standup on a project where you’re listed as admin, manager, or analyst — regardless of department. Best for client-facing project leads who need cross-departmental visibility on a specific account.
Picking the right combo
- Department head, not client-facing — department ON, project OFF. You’ll see your own team’s standups and skip noise from projects you’re an analyst on for legacy reasons.
- Project / account manager, not running a department — department OFF, project ON. Every standup on your accounts; nothing from your former department.
- Both hats (head + client-facing) — both ON. Expect overlap on submissions that hit both axes — the email engine de-dupes so you only get one email per submission either way.
- No oversight role — both OFF is fine. You’ll still see standups in-app via your project Activity tab when relevant.
Other rows on this page
- @mentions — when a teammate @mentions you in a comment.
- Task assignments — when someone assigns or reassigns a task to you.
- Project messages, task deliverables — activity on shared project threads + attachments.
- Monthly recap, daily rank movements, lead follow-up reminders — rollups for the non-HR side of the product.
- Project invitations — locked ON. If invitees missed these you’d never get anyone onboarded.
Workspace owner override
The owner of the workspace always receives every daily standup digest email, regardless of these toggles. This is a deliberate “god-mode” behaviour so the ItzSEO operator never silently misses team activity. If that’s you and you’d rather route the rollup elsewhere, ask in-app and we’ll wire a per-workspace override.
