Turn form leads into chat conversations

Flip one toggle and every submission opens a thread in your Messages inbox — reply when ready, and the lead gets your message by email with a one-click account signup.

In the form’s settings, turn on “Start a chat thread from each submission”. From then on, every submission appears in your Messages inbox as a conversation — the lead’s answers as the first message. One thread per email address: repeat submissions append to the same conversation instead of cluttering your inbox.

How the lead experiences it

The thread opens silently — the lead isn’t emailed about it (your workflow’s welcome email is the acknowledgment). The moment you reply, they receive an email with your message and a “create your free account to reply” link. When they sign up, the conversation is automatically theirs and it becomes a normal two-way chat. Replies are rate-limited to a few emails per day per person, so a long exchange never floods their inbox.

Automation plays along

A lead replying in chat fires the “Contact replied in chat” workflow trigger and counts as a response for Stop on response — their follow-up sequence halts the moment a real conversation starts.

The other door: your public chat link

For visitors who’d rather talk than fill a form, enable your public chat link and put it on your site as a “Chat with us” button. Requests arrive at /messages/requests; approving one starts a private conversation.
