Install ItzSEO on your phone (Add to Home Screen)
Install ItzSEO like a native app on iOS Safari or Chrome / Edge on Android — full-screen, offline-tolerant, home-screen launchable.
ItzSEO works as a Progressive Web App — that means you can install it on your phone's home screen and it will open full-screen like a native app, with its own icon, no browser chrome, and offline tolerance for screens you've already loaded.
On iPhone or iPad (iOS Safari)
Open ItzSEO in Safari (not in-app browsers), then:
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with the arrow pointing up).
- Scroll the share sheet down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the name (defaults to “ItzSEO”) and tap Add.
You'll see the ItzSEO icon on your home screen next to your other apps. Tapping it launches the full-screen experience — no Safari toolbar, no URL bar.
On Android (Chrome, Edge, or Samsung Internet)
The browser detects ItzSEO is installable and shows an “Install ItzSEO” banner automatically after you've visited a few pages. Tap it and confirm.
If you dismissed the banner, you can install manually: tap the browser's … menu and look for Install app or Add to Home screen.
What you gain by installing
- One-tap launch from the home screen — no need to find the bookmark.
- Full-screen experience, no browser address bar eating the viewport.
- Push notifications (iOS 16.4+ requires Add-to-Home-Screen to enable push at all).
- Faster cold start — the service worker caches the app shell.
- Offline-tolerant — pages you've already visited keep working without a connection.
Troubleshooting
I don't see “Add to Home Screen” on iPhone. You're probably in an in-app browser (Instagram, LinkedIn, Slack). Open the URL in Safari directly — the option only appears in real Safari.
The install banner never appears on Android. Chrome waits for ~3 visits / 30+ seconds of engagement before showing it. Visit a few pages, then check the … menu for the manual install option.
I installed but it still opens in Safari. Long-press the home-screen icon and check it opens the app, not a Safari bookmark. Re-install via the steps above if needed.
