Why most blog idea generators give you junk

Most free generators take your keyword, fan it out into 20 listicle templates ("X tips for…", "The ultimate guide to…"), and call it a day. The output is generic because the input was generic — there's no real reasoning about who would search for the idea, what they actually want, or whether the topic is plausibly winnable for your site.

This generator is different. It uses Claude Sonnet 4.6 — the same reasoning model that powers our paid product — to produce ideas grounded in actual search intent. Every idea comes back tagged informational, commercial, or navigational, with a difficulty estimate and a one-sentence rationale for why the idea is worth writing.

Reading the intent labels

  • Informational searchers want to learn. Ideal for top-of-funnel articles that build authority and earn backlinks. Lower conversion rate, higher volume.
  • Commercial — searchers are evaluating options ("X vs Y", "best Z for [use case]"). Closest to a purchase. Tougher to rank for, but worth it.
  • Navigational searchers know what they want. Mostly brand-related queries. Useful for surfacing your own pages but rarely worth a dedicated post.

How to actually use this output

  1. Skim the list and flag the 5-7 ideas that match a real pain point your audience has had in the last 90 days.
  2. For each flagged idea, run the keyword through a real volume tool (DataForSEO, Ahrefs, Semrush) — Claude estimates difficulty, but actual monthly volume is what closes the decision.
  3. Use the SERP preview tool to draft a title and description that match the intent label.
  4. Once you start publishing, monitor whether the new pages get cited in AI Search via the AI Search visibility check.

FAQ

How accurate is the difficulty estimate?

It's a directional guess from Claude based on how competitive the topic looks — useful for a quick sort, not a substitute for a real volume + KD lookup. For decisions you're committing budget to, validate the top picks against DataForSEO or Ahrefs.

Why only 3 runs per day?

Each run calls Claude Sonnet on our dime. Three runs covers most legitimate exploratory use. Sign up for the full platform if you need unlimited generation across multiple projects.

Can I narrow down to long-tail keywords specifically?

Yes — the more specific your niche field, the longer-tail the suggestions. 'B2B email marketing' returns broad heads; 'cold-outreach segmentation for series-A SaaS' returns specific long-tail ideas.

Why are some of the suggested titles weirdly framed?

Claude optimizes for click-worthiness and keyword front-loading. If a title feels off, treat it as a draft — the title concept is what matters, not the exact wording. Your editor's pen still applies.

Does Claude check current SERPs before suggesting?

Not in this free version. The full ItzSEO platform pairs idea generation with live SERP analysis, AI Search citation tracking, and rank monitoring on every shipped article. The free tool is best for the brainstorm phase.

Will my niche or audience text be saved?

No. We don't log inputs from this endpoint. Each request is processed and discarded.
